The benefits to our abrasive waterjet processes are 5 to 8 times faster than EDM with no heat affected zones, recast layer, and no material or mechanical degradation. Also our coating removal and stripping methods are controlled and environmentally friendly, unlike that of acid batch methods. We can maintain extremely close tolerances for round and shaped hole drilling applications in blades, buckets, vanes and nozzles, etc., providing superior airflow over other methods. With our vision system we can also identify and locate overcoated holes, then clear those holes without masking.
