Huffman WJ-156 Abrasive Waterjet Machining System
The Huffman WJ-156 Multi-Axis Abrasive Waterjet System provides increased precision, reliability and operating convenience for a wide variety of applications. It was specifically designed to process round parts such as gas turbine compressor rings or steam turbine diaphragms requiring precise indexing or contouring. This system economically produces high-quality, burr- and dust-free cuts in any direction for complex, near-net shapes in metals, composites, glass and man-made fibers.
The Huffman Waterjet System offers a high return on investment through:
- a shorter setup time
- reduced cycle time
- elimination of secondary inspections needed with laser and EDM machines
- no material deformation or heat-affected zones
- no delamination between the thermal barrier coating and substrate
The Huffman abrasive cutting head and metering systems are the best in the industry. The nozzle assembly maintains a precise, repeatable position. Huffman's advanced metering system supplies an even, consistent flow through our CNC controller. And using Huffman's vision software, locating and reopening turbine component holes are made easier and more precise.
