Abrasive Waterjet Milling Applications

The precision machine tool platform of Springfield Manufacturing’s abrasive waterjet systems provide the ability to perform milling operations.  This is suitable for crack sensitive materials such as ceramics, inter-metallics and hard metals.  Since virtually no tooling forces are exerted on parts during this operation, fixturing is simple and inexpensive when compared to fixturing required for conventional milling.
