The waterjet imparts such a small tooling force that parts do not move or distort during the cutting process. Since this is a cold process, the edges have no recast layer or heat affected zone and are also deburred during the cutting process, making them ready for subsequent welding operations. Weld prep bevels can even be programmed in, if desired.
